What activities are offered?
EPIC CIC will provide children from the ages of 5 – 16 with sport, nutrition awareness arts and craft activities. We are keen to educate children about being healthy and looking after their wellbeing. EPIC CIC believes that taking part in creative arts and physical activities is a good way to support children’s wellbeing and educating them to live a healthy life, which will benefit them throughout their life. Through our workshops around nutrition and physical education, we aim to improve their knowledge on what eating healthy means and support them with the development of new skills. By encouraging children to make informed choices about eating healthy will not only help them feel good, but it will also reduce any risks of future health problems. This will also help with their emotional and mental wellbeing. The physical activities will allow children to learn social skills, like team working, making friends, and understand that working together is a better way to problem solve. This will hopefully encourage children to discuss any problems they are facing and to understand they are not alone.

What benefits can you expect from this?
Our camp program will provide a safe environment for children to develop social skills, decision-making skills, and even experience the great outdoors. With attending a camp which is away from school setting, the children will be able to work in smaller groups, this will help them to teach children to communicate, to work together as part of a team and to be a leader.
This is a great way of making new friends from children in their local area, we encourage children to discuss their views and opinions. Also allowing the children to try new foods at lunch time, this will develop their taste buds and learn about each other’s family foods. -
What makes these activties inclusive?
We have additional rooms that are available for time out and quiet space, the spaces are supervised by a member of the team.
We want all children and young people to have the same opportunity to meet their potential – including children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Currently have staff that are trained to look after low level SEND children, who can offer one to one support when carrying out activities. Please contact the provider for additional information.
