About Us
Welcome to Sandwell Holiday Activities
Sandwell holiday activities invite all children and young people that live or go to school in the borough to join in activities during Easter, summer and winter holidays. You can get involved in enriching activities, create the best experiences and grow in confidence. We welcome you and your family to come and have fun, make new friends, try new things, learn new skills and make happy memories! There is so much to choose from during school holidays. We really do offer something for everyone.
We work alongside all providers on our website to establish safe environments for our children. Parents can be confident that their children are participating in quality services. We monitor the activities regularly to ensure your children are receiving the best services.
We believe that activities should be local and easy to get to, so we are working hard to ensure we have activities across the borough. Each town, including Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich, offers plenty of holiday activities that your whole family will love!
You can review the Sandwell HAF 2023-2024 evaluation report, which evaluates the success of the Holiday Activities and Food programme.
How does it work?
If your child receives benefit related free school meals or has an EHCP, are Looked After or have No Recourse to Public Funding they will be issued a HAF code through Evouchers (a similar way to how you receive the food voucher codes during holidays) You will need your child’s Unique HAF code to book activities, you will receive 4 credits per child for Easter activities.
If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria but are looking for activities search our website for activities that provide universal or paid places or visit our Go Play partners who provide free activities for 6-12 years old right across Sandwell.
You can search activities by the location, activity type, age or keyword. Once you find an activity you like click show details and it will take you to the activity page where you can find out more. You can also save an activity for later (you can see all your saved activities by clicking the heart icon).
Our Vision
We believe every child should be able to access varied fun activities to make exciting school holidays with magical moments.
Our Mission
We support families during school holidays and ensure all the holiday activities are welcoming, trusted, local and offer great value.
Who Can Join?
Any child who lives or goes to school in Sandwell up to the age of 16 (or 25 with SEND) can join and book activities. Activities are predominantly for children between 5 to 16 years. However, we do have several family activities where little ones are welcome. We cater for all families regardless of circumstance. Some activities are free for everyone, and some ask for a contribution. We also offer free activities and food that support families in receipt of benefit-related free school meals. All our activities are designed to give quality experiences where caregivers assure they are getting great value.
Why Should I Join?
Holiday activities are a brilliant opportunity to try new things, from archery to zorbing we’ve got you covered! There is plenty of choice including different sports, music, dance, art, drama, cooking and much, much more. All activities are fun and engaging, helping children grow in confidence and learn new skills. We have holiday camp activities where you can leave your child, freeing up your time whilst they have lots of fun! or activities that you can do together as a family. Activities are inclusive and many providers cater for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Your children are unique with their own interests and personalities. We work with partners from schools and council services, voluntary and community organisations, faith sector organisations and businesses. We ensure that there is variety and that your children can access activities that they really enjoy. Providers have qualified staff who are experienced in working with children, young people and families. They genuinely care about your children’s happiness and provide enriching experiences.
