Aspire Active Camp -Yew Tree Active Camp
Packed with energy, fun, and friendship – every day is a new adventure
Our organisation has a robust track record in delivering Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programs in Sandwell, having successfully hosted these at Glebefields Primary, Yew Tree Primary, Jubilee Park Community Centre, and Tipton Community Centre. These programs offered a wide range of activities, catering to the diverse interests and needs of children and young people. Our experienced staff, trained in child safeguarding and inclusive practices, ensured a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. We actively sought and incorporated feedback to enhance our offerings continuously.
Our efforts significantly contributed to the physical, social, and educational development of participants, evidenced by positive feedback from children, parents, and community partners.

What makes Aspire Active HAF unique?
Aspire Active Education Group’s Ofsted registered Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme offers thousands of children aged between 5 to 11 years to make an unforgettable school holiday. It’s all about fun, food and physical activity. HAF is a free holiday programme backed by footballer Marcus Rashford MBE and funded by the Government for children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. The programme helps to keep children happy, healthy and entertained over the school break.
Our HAF programmes in Sandwell are set to be action-packed!
A day at our HAF camps will include four physical activity sessions and a nutritious meal. Every child who joins us at HAF is given a Home Resource booklet packed full of physical activity challenges and delicious recipes for them to try at home. Our HAF programme gives children the chance to try new sports and activities, learn new skills, make new friends, and build confidence, keeping them active and smiling during the school holiday.

What makes this activity inclusive?
Our activities are designed to be inclusive, welcoming children with a range of needs including physical disabilities, mild to moderate learning disabilities, developmental disorders such as autism, behavioural conditions like ADHD, learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. We work closely with families to assess and meet each child’s needs on a case-by-case basis, although it’s important to note that we may not provide niche and specialist care. Our aim is to ensure all children can participate and enjoy our camps in a supportive environment. Please contact the provider for more information on the activities.

“As a teacher and an ex-camp leader myself I cannot praise this system more highly. The staff were well trained, enthusiastic, good communicators and held safeguarding in the highest regard. My son does not find it easy mixing with new groups but really loved his trial this year with morning sessions. We will definitely be using the programme again.”
