Bears’ Playhouse Winter Holiday Camp
At Bears’ Playhouse Winter Fun Club, we will ensure children remain active each day through a varied programme of physical activity.
Sessions include indoor activities such as football drills, 5-a-side matches, fun relay races, multi-sports activities, and circuit training, all adapted to suit the age and ability of participants.
For younger children, we provide dance games, parachute play, and movement-based challenges, while older participants enjoy structured sports such as basketball, hockey, and athletics. Each session is delivered in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages teamwork, coordination, and confidence.
Our staff are trained to adapt activities for SEND participants, offering sensory-friendly alternatives and one-to-one support if required.
We prioritise enjoyment while ensuring every child achieves at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day. By embedding exercise into fun games, we help children develop healthy habits, improve fitness levels, and leave with greater energy and enthusiasm.
Our Winter provision offers a wide range of enriching activities to stimulate creativity, learning, and wellbeing. Arts and crafts sessions include clay modelling, origami, macramé, salt dough creations, and festive crafts linked to the winter season. Mindfulness colouring and relaxation exercises support children’s emotional regulation, while drama games and group storytelling build confidence and self-expression.
We also incorporate STEM-inspired tasks such as Lego building, puzzle-solving, and beginner coding activities to enhance problem-solving and teamwork skills. These activities support character development, resilience, and social skills, ensuring children leave with new experiences and greater confidence.
By combining creative and educational opportunities, Bears’ Playhouse helps children broaden their horizons, engage in positive social interaction, and develop lifelong interests outside of school.
