Sports Plus Scheme at Ferndale Primary School
As a sports coaching company we offer a variety of physical and enrichment activities which includes football, dodgeball, tennis, basketball, dance, archery, scooter-hockey, tri-golf, ultimate frisbee and many more… We cater for children that are primary school ages from 5-11 years mainly and can only support children with non complex needs and we don’t offer 1:1 support as it stands. We also provide a healthy lunch with 3 options per day so children can try new foods if required. We aim to make sure all children feel safe when they arrive and feel comfortable. We hope in our camps children make new and keep existing friends as they enjoy a wide range of sports and activities. Children will also have regular breaks so drinks are advised to bring when you arrive. The words FUN and ENGAGING are the main aims for our camps so all children get the best opportunity possible.

About Us
We take pride in the diverse activities we offer. While many of our programs are sport-related, we also emphasize team building and confidence-building exercises to foster inclusion and reduce isolation. Our sports offerings include football, tennis, basketball, cricket, athletics, dance, gymnastics, dodgeball, and more.
In addition to sports, we provide daily enrichment activities such as archery, scooter hockey, Mario Kart, ultimate frisbee, and tri-golf. Each child participates in at least two hours of physical activity per day, in accordance with recommended guidelines. This approach encourages children to explore new sports, potentially discovering a passion that leads them to join teams or clubs outside of school.

What benefits can you expect from this?
Children will experience new and existing sports whilst being physically active. This will also encourage children to make new friends, build confidence and resilience. Children will also receive a free hot or cold meal at lunchtime which will be provided by our food caterer. All our coaches know that engaging all children is vital and making sure all children are involved in some way throughout the day.

Sports Plus have over 20 years experience delivering Sports and Physical Activities to Primary School Children. Sports Coaches are working daily in Primary Schools and have been delivering Provision in Sandwell for many years. Sports Plus Coaches are trained to deliver a variety of Sports so children can experience lots of different Sports & Activities with the same coach.

What makes this activity inclusive?
Our coaches ensure that children have access to quiet time or breaks if needed. We have enough staff each week to support children if needed. Our coaches deal with specific needs on a daily basis and will be in full contact with parents if they need any information.

Please book onto the sessions using the 16 digit code provided by your school. Children will need to wear sporty clothes and trainers and must bring a drink with them. We will contact parents 2 weeks before came starts to share information such as entrance points and to confirm food orders.
Upon arrival parents must sign their children in and out of the activity.
