Sustainable Crafting with Wild Earth Movement – Sandwell Valley Summer Camp
This Summer, Wild Earth Movement welcomes you into the beautiful grounds of Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre. A former farm that now houses stunning gardens within acres of land, and plenty of opportunities to feed the ducks! Engage in a wide range of fun and unique activities, and feel welcomed into the space from the moment you arrive. Over the course of the summer, you can embrace your inner Astronaut, Explorer, Pokémon Master, Designer, Architect, Magician and more! No day is the same and each day you will leave with exciting new skills, new friends, and a wider understanding of sustainability and how to positively impact our planet. Days will be broken up with games and play, and we will adventure out into the valley on days where the weather permits, for us to feed the ducks. We are a friendly team of enthusiastic nature lovers, who are committed to helping our children and young people to get creative, alongside conversations around sustainability and creating a better planet for their futures! This year the programme will incorporate two family sessions, providing opportunity for children and young people to craft alongside their parents and guardians and create memories. We will also be hosting one of our famous trails here at the valley, this time Minecraft themed!
We can’t wait to meet you! Check out all of our sessions and find something that appeals to you!
What they say about us
Congratulations on delivering another fantastic winter provision. Your sessions were extremely popular and filled up very quickly.
Your success is a real testament to the strong relationships you’ve built and the loyal “fan base” you now have. We also received a great deal of positive feedback from parents, with your sessions frequently mentioned as a favourite.
You are genuinely unique in what you do, and your provision works brilliantly as a result.

Thank you for yesterdays session. He handled it very well and previously we’ve had different experiences depending on how his day is going. You did such a good job at managing his expectations and making sure he felt included at every stage.
Thanks very much for a lovely day yesterday, he really enjoyed it & so did I. It was a lovely put together session.

I am still in shock that [NAME] ate soup with vegetables in it and we have had to stock up on oat milk now that he’s decided he likes it! After the meltdown in the car I thought there was no way he was going to make it to the session. I am so grateful you came over and chatted so calmly with him. He is so happy that he managed to light a fire and I have ordered him his own flint to practice!

All sessions can be made accessible and 1:1’s can be made available providing we are notified in advance of the session. All sessions will have accessible options for individuals with ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorders. We recommend parents and guardians contacting us with any specific requirements. For sewing workshops, participants under the age of 8 require parents and guardians to stay at the sessions. For outdoor elements we will adjust routes based on participant abilities
